Terms of Service

Effective: October 2026. Sely is currently in beta. By installing the extension or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. What Sely is

Sely is a browser extension that runs AI actions on text you select. The Sely Free plan routes requests through infrastructure operated by Sely; the BYOK option sends requests directly from your browser to an AI provider of your choice using your own API key.

2. Accounts and the free plan

Sely Free requires Google sign-in and is subject to usage limits (hourly and weekly quotas shown in the product). Quotas exist to keep the service sustainable; circumventing limits, reselling free-tier access, or automating requests at abusive volumes may lead to throttling or suspension.

3. Bring your own key

Your API key is stored only on your device and your usage is billed by your provider under their terms — Sely never sees your key or your provider bill. You are responsible for keeping your key secret and for any charges your provider applies.

4. AI outputs

AI-generated text can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. Review anything important before relying on it. Sely makes no warranty about accuracy, availability, or fitness for any purpose, and the service is provided "as is" while in beta. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sely's liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service.

5. Acceptable use

  • Don't use Sely to break the law, harm others, or spam.
  • Don't attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer rate limits, or misrepresent AI output as human work where that matters.
  • Don't redistribute the extension outside official channels in ways that violate the Chrome Web Store terms.

6. Changes and termination

Features, quotas, and these terms may change as the product evolves — material changes will be noted here with a new effective date. You may stop using Sely at any time by uninstalling; signing out removes local credentials, and you can request deletion of synced settings as described in the Privacy Policy.
